About Matt:
Matt brings more than eight years of practical knowledge in the economic and community development sector with experience in developing a wide range of programs including workforce development, healthcare, and education. He is known for his strategic thinking and ability to bring people together to achieve common goals. In his role, he oversees client relations, develops funding strategies and assists clients in positioning themselves to be successful in open and future opportunities.
Prior to joining CFS, Matt was the Healthy Communities Program Officer at The Rapides Foundation, a private philanthropic organization with the goal of improving the health status of Central Louisiana. In his time there, he developed and administered programs to address community-wide health, education, community development and economic development issues across their rural, nine-parish region.
He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management and later earned a Master's in Business Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport. When he's not working, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors, playing golf, and staying connected to his alma mater. He currently lives in Alexandria, Louisiana with his wife, Kate, and their two children, Levy and Scottie.
