CFS Award Announcement:

City of West Monroe and Kiroli Foundation Secure $60,000 in Grant Funding

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 25, 2025

Washington, D.C. — Capitol Funding Solutions (CFS) is pleased to announce that the City of West Monroe, LA, and the Kiroli Foundation have been awarded a combined total of $65,448 through the Living Well Foundation’s 2025 grant cycle. The awards will support public safety improvements and cultural infrastructure enhancements in West Monroe, Louisiana.

AWARD HIGHLIGHTS

Kiroli Park Amphitheater

The Kiroli Foundation received $45,000 to renovate the historic amphitheater at Kiroli Park, which recently marked its 100th anniversary. Kiroli Park serves as the setting for numerous community events and family traditions. The amphitheater renovation will enhance accessibility, safety, and functionality, creating an even more inviting space for large-scale events such as the Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival and Christmas at Kiroli. These events not only contribute to the region’s cultural identity, but also generate local tourism and economic activity. The upgrades will ensure that the park continues to serve as a vital gathering place for the community.

Police Department Electric Cart & AEDs

The City of West Monroe Police Department was awarded $20,448 to strengthen its emergency response capabilities. With these funds, the department will purchase an Evolution Tuffman 800 all-access EMS vehicle, designed to provide rapid response across various terrains, including parks and event venues. Additionally, the grant will replace outdated automated external defibrillators (AEDs), enhancing lifesaving capabilities across the department’s operations. These improvements are part of a broader effort by the City of West Monroe to modernize public safety infrastructure and ensure readiness in emergency situations.

CFS is proud to support both organizations in developing successful applications for the Living Well Foundation’s competitive grant program and looks forward to seeing the long-term benefits these projects will bring to the region.
