Press Release:

CFS Surpasses $3 Billion in Funding Secured for Clients

Achieved in less than five years since the firm’s founding, this milestone reflects CFS’s continued growth, strategic funding expertise, and commitment to helping clients secure competitive funding.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 15, 2026

Washington, DC – Capitol Funding Solutions (CFS) has surpassed $3 billion in awarded funding secured for clients, marking a major milestone in the firm’s history. Achieved less than five years after CFS was founded in 2021, this milestone reflects the firm’s rapid growth and demonstrated success in helping organizations identify, pursue, and win competitive discretionary funding.

Reaching this milestone reflects both the scale of funding secured and the impact of the projects supported through CFS’s work. CFS has won individual awards for clients ranging from $2.5K to $750 million, securing funding for hundreds of initiatives that advance infrastructure, energy, economic development, public safety, workforce development, technology, healthcare, and broader community investment. Through end-to-end services, the firm supports organizations throughout the funding lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and developing funding strategies to managing complex applications, strengthening project narratives, supporting submissions, and assisting with post-award implementation. Each award represents a project designed to address specific needs and create long-term value for the communities and industries served.

“When CFS was founded, my goal was to build a firm that would help organizations navigate a complex landscape to access competitive funding using strategy and creativity,” said Becky Nictakis, President and CEO of CFS. “I am so proud of our team’s work and the impact it has on communities and industries across the country. Securing $3 billion in funding in less than five years is a tribute to their hard work and commitment to excellence.”

This significant achievement is a testament to the strength of CFS’s internal team and its network of strategic partners. Since its founding, CFS has worked with clients of all sizes and across sectors to navigate federal, state, local, and private funding opportunities. As demand for competitive funding support has grown, CFS’s team and operations have continued to scale while maintaining a commitment to our core values that drive success: collaboration, integrity, reliability, and creativity.

“Behind every successful application is a team working through strategy, budgets, narratives, compliance, deadlines, and submission requirements,” said Angie Juban, Chief Operating Officer of CFS. “Reaching $3 billion in secured funding reflects the consistency, precision, and care our team brings to this work every day. I am proud of what this team has accomplished and even more proud of how they continue to show up for our clients and each other.”

CFS’s success is rooted in its client-centered, team-based approach to competitive funding. The firm’s collaborative model allows clients to benefit from specialized expertise at each stage of the funding process. Over the past year, CFS has expanded its services to provide more holistic support for award recipients and funders, including award administration to manage awarded funds, and program development to help design and optimize discretionary funding programs. This comprehensive approach enables clients to approach competitive funding with greater clarity and efficacy.

“We have been fortunate to assist clients across multiple sectors and geographies in accessing funding across programs. Though our clients and projects differ greatly, we are proud to provide them all with the same high-quality services expected from such an extraordinary team. Helping to transform ideas into fundable projects is incredibly rewarding work that motivates us to strive for success for our clients every day,” said Matthew LaBorde, Chief Strategy Officer of CFS.

Reaching this $3 billion milestone is a direct result of the CFS model that brings together a dedicated professional team with high-level strategic partners and impactful client projects. As CFS approaches its fifth anniversary in November 2026, the firm remains focused on helping clients secure and implement funding for projects that strengthen communities, advance key industries, and support long-term organizational priorities.
