INFRA Grant Awardees Announced by DOT

September 15, 2022 - USDOT

Over $1.5 billion in federal funding for this highly competitive DOT grant program has been awarded to 26 highway, rail, and multimodal freight projects across the United States. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has increased funding for the INFRA program by more than 50 percent, and more projects supporting the nation's transportation infrastructure be awarded in the next five years, distributing an additional $6.5 billion for projects funded by the program.

EV Charging Infrastructure for over 50,000 Miles of Highways Approved Ahead of Schedule

September 14, 2022 - USDOT

More than $900 million in FY22 and FY23 NEVI formula funding have been approved ahead of schedule. The BIL formula funding supports the construction of EV chargers on 53,000 miles of highways spanning the country. State DOTs will have access to additional NEVI Formula Program funds once the remaining plans pending review are approved. Plans are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Brownfield Revitalization Grants Opened by the EPA

September 13, 2022 - CFS

Six grant opportunities were opened by the EPA for brownfield revitalization. These opportunities include grants for assessment, cleanup, and revolving loan funds. The funds are open to states, tribal nations, communities, and nonprofit organizations to prevent, inventory, assess, clean up, and reuse brownfield sites.
The deadline for applications is November 22.

USDA’s ReConnect Program Now Open for Applications

The USDA ReConnect Program provides loans and grants to expand access to high-speed internet in rural areas in the United States. The application deadline is November 2, 2022.
